| I Will Do Better |
I do not believe she is correct, But I am sure I frequently come across that way in speaking with people about my business and other matters about which I am most passionate. I am so right in my viewpoints and make it all about my agenda, but you know what, whether I am right or not, I must begin accepting where other people are and not only allowing for but respecting their positions and views.
Unlike traditional jobs where one works and is primarily focused on satisfying the wishes and demands of his or her boss and the owners of their company, and for that receives a given amount of money or salary, in network marketing, one benefits financially, primarily and mostly by supporting, assisting and really caring for the people he or she hopes to attract or otherwise bring into their organization, and then must continue doing so in the ongoing course of their business activities. In that regard, one must be or become a leader in network marketing, which I guess is true in any business one owns, particularly those that retain independent contractors to accomplish the work of the company. Sometimes, I think we forget we are owners of a business and not in the job we hold or once held.
In a job, leaders are mostly designated according to position. I use to be one of them. My position mostly dictated my leadership status. That is never the case in network marketing, and there are no network marketers to my knowledge who have ever achieved any level of credible success without exercising leadership skills.
So here again, perhaps lies another reason people shy away from network marketing. There appears to be an ugly truth. They are unwilling to do what is necessary to lead and as described in my immediate post below,
they would rather be comfortable in their jobs making a modest income rather than being as productive as they could be as a network marketer.
Network marketing in my opinion is an admirable industry to be a part. I am proud I accepted my eldest daughter's suggestion five years ago and became a part of it.
