It's Me

I wrote a post below entitled My Product is People; I am in the Relationship Business .

That is not entirely accurate. It's Me. I'm the product. It is not my company, it is not what I have to offer and though it is the relationship that is essential to my business, the responsibility in creating and maintaining an effective relationship that works rests solely with me. Kind of scary at times but that is exactly what my success is built upon. I have reviewed the people who have agreed to partner with me in my business and without exception I either already had a trusting relationship with the person or over time was able to develop one.

Another realization I am embracing is there is no other way to succeed in network marketing/mlm without being a leader. One cannot succeed otherwise. I often tell the story of my 35 year career in health administration where I always held a leadership position but that is not the case in network marketing. Position, rank and title mean nothing, if one is not actively leading; that is actively leading in one's community, among his or her friends and family, within their network marketing organization and over the internet if that is an area one is seeking to develop relationships that may contribute to his or her business. Giving without expecting something in return is another key leadership quality. This is particular leadership quality I am committing to master.

I am, in fact, committing to lead in the fullest sense of the word. A New Year's Resolution, perhaps; for certain a requirement for my continued success in my business.
