Product? I looked it up in Webster. It is "the number or expression resulting from the multiplication together of two or more numbers or expressions." So, I have learned, it the relationships I have with my customers and business partners, that represent my product or expressions of my business. That's noteworthy, since most businesses have a product they sell which is most likely some commodity. It is quite unique to have a business with nothing to sell. It makes it fun most of the time, yet challenging at others.
I am an independent contractor with Ambit Energy. I endeavor to meet, in fact exceed the expectations of my customers and to support my business partners in the best way I can. I do two things in that regard. I ask people I meet and people I know if they keep their options open for business opportunities. Most people immediately equate that to mean a home-based business and they are correct. If they decide to become a business partner; I assist them in helping the people, "they know love and trust" receive guaranteed savings on their electricity and natural gas bills.
Hold On! This post is beginning to sound like an advertisement. That was not my intention, although I, of course, am biased toward my Ambit Energy business. I am so proud of the company's vision; to become the finest and most respected retail energy provider in the country. I think that is awesome, particularly coupled with the high level of integrity I have experienced with the company's co-founders and business partners with whom I have met.
OK, let me get back to my intention. While I obviously want people that read this post to consider the Ambit Energy opportunity, I want people to also know how powerful and prominent home based businesses are becoming, in general, as a primary and part-time pursuit for many families that have become fearful in today's and of tomorrow's economy. Network marketing is a large component of the home-based business sector. The two factors that make network marketing so attractive are the start up cost which are relatively inexpensive and one can work it part-time. There is also another factor that is not always recognized at first, yet far it exceeds the other two benefits. It is leverage; leveraging the efforts of others.
If a person has a significant amount of cash to invest in a business, they can certainly go with a home-based business outside of network marketing. If not, I suggest they do their research and find a viable network marketing company with which they are comfortable and give it a try.

I want to quickly comment on the statement in my post relative to the integrity of the company. Last evening, I received a message from Chris Chambless, one of the co-founders of Ambit Energy. It was in response to an inquiry I had made several weeks ago regarding the "handling" of several of my customers. Although customer service representatives were unable to resolve the matter, after raising the issue with Mr. Chambless, he was able to do resolve it. To have one of the heads of the company personally address an issue and respond to one of his independent consultants I think is honorable and consistent with the company's vision of becoming the Finest and Most Respected Energy Provider in the Country.
